Tony Blair’s sister-in-law has converted to Islam after having a ‘holy experience’ in Iran.
Broadcaster and journalist Lauren Booth, 43 - Cherie Blair’s half-sister - said she now wears a hijab head covering whenever she leaves her home, prays five times a day and visits her local mosque ‘when I can’.
She decided to become a Muslim six weeks ago after visiting the shrine of Fatima al-Masumeh in the city of Qom.

‘It was a Tuesday evening and I sat down and felt this shot of spiritual morphine, just absolute bliss and joy,’ she told The Mail on Sunday.
When she returned to Britain, she decided to convert immediately.

‘Now I don’t eat pork and I read the Koran every day. I’m on page 60. I also haven’t had a drink in 45 days, the longest period in 25 years,' she said.

'The strange thing is that since I decided to convert I haven’t wanted to touch alcohol, and I was someone who craved a glass of wine or two at the end of a day.’
Refusing to discount the possibility that she might wear a burka, she said: ‘Who knows where my spiritual journey will take me?’
Before her awakening in Iran, she had been ‘sympathetic’ to Islam and has spent considerable time working in Palestine. ‘I was always impressed with the strength and comfort it gave,’ she said of the religion.
Miss Booth, who works for Press TV, the English-language Iranian news channel, has been a vocal opponent of the war in Iraq.
In August 2008 she travelled to Gaza by ship from Cyprus, along with 46 other activists, to highlight Israel’s blockade of the territory.

She was subsequently refused entry into both Israel and Egypt.
In 2006 she was a contestant on the ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here!, donating her fee to the Palestinian relief charity Interpal.
She said she hoped her conversion would help Mr Blair change his presumptions about Islam.

During her visit to Iran last month, Booth wrote a public letter to Mr Blair asking him to mark Al-Quds (Jerusalem) day - a protest at Israel's occupation of Palestine.
The missive was a bitter attack on the former Prime Minister, who is now a Middle East envoy working for peace in the troubled region.

'The men, women and children around me withstood a day of no water and no food (it’s called Ramadan, Tony, it’s a fast),' Booth wrote.

'Coping with hunger and thirst in the hundred degrees heat, as if it were nothing. They can withstand deprivation in the Muslim world.

'Here in Iran they feel proud to suffer in order to express solidarity with the people of Palestine. It's kind of like the way you express solidarity with America only without illegal chemical weapons and a million civilian deaths.'

She adds: 'Your world view is that Muslims, are mad, bad, dangerous to know. A contagion to be contained.

'In the final chapter [of his autobiography] you say we need a "religious counter attack" against Islam. And by "Islam" you mean the Al Quds rallies, the Palestinian intifada (based on an anti Apartheid struggle Tony, NOT religious bigotry), against every Arab who fails to put their arms in the air as the F16 missiles rain on their homes and refugee camps and sing a rousing chorus of ‘Imagine all the people...’

Booth moved to France with her family - husband Craig Darby and two daughters Alexandra and Holly in 2004.
Her husband was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in April 2009 when he was drunk and not wearing a helmet.

He suffered a severe brain injury, a fractured neck, damage to his spine and several broken ribs and was in a deep coma for two weeks.

The 42-year-old had to learn how to walk and talk again. He lost much of his memory, has sight problem and cannot work.

The couple decided to move back to Britain to help his recovery and reduce the amount of time Booth has to work away from home.

Booth took part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Met Out of Here! in 2006 alongside Myleene Klass and Jason Donovan, finishing ninth.

Of her relationship with the Blairs, she said at the time: 'I'm happy to criticise them politically if they deserve it but that on a personal level we get on fine.'

Mr Blair was famously told not to 'do God' by his spin doctor Alistair Campbell while he was Prime Minister.

But on leaving office, he converted to Catholicism after starting to go to Mass - saying later that it was his wife who spurred his decision.

He said last year that it was like 'coming home' and is now 'where my heart is, where I know I belong'.

Superior Days For Righteous Deeds

The Superiority And Virtue Of The First Ten Days Of The Month Of Zulhijjah
And The Deeds Legislated In These Days
from the Gulf Times March 1999
Verily, the praise belongs to Allah, the Most High, and may the Blessings of Allah and Peace be
upon His Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions, all of them. It is narrated from Ibn
Abbaas (RAA) that the Prophet (PBUH) of said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds
done in them are more beloved to Allah than these days, ie the ten days (of Zul-Hijjah). They
said: O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihaad in the path of Allah? He said: Not even Jihaad in the
Path of Allah, the Most High, except if a man goes out (for Jihaad) with his self and his wealth,
then he doesn't return with anything from that."
(Al-Bukhaaree, Abu Daawood and others. The exact wording is that of Abu Daawood)
It is narrated from Ibn Umar that the Prophet Muhammad (Blessings of Allah and Peace be upon
him) said:
"There aren't any days greater, nor any days in which deeds done in them are more beloved to
Allah, the Most High, than these ten days (of Zul-Hijjah). So, increase in them the saying of
Tahleel (La Ilaaha illa Allah), and Takbeer (Allah Akbar) and Tahmeed (al-Hamdu li-llah)"
[Musnad Imaam Ahmad]
The Types of Deeds in These Ten Days:
First: The performance of Haj and Umrah, and these are the best of deeds that may be done.
And what indicates their superiority are a number of Ahaadith, one of which is the saying of the
Prophet (PBUH).
Performance of Umrah is an expiation of the sins committed between it and the previous Umrah,
and the reward of the Haj which is accepted by Allah, the Most High, is nothing but Paradise.
(Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim)
Second: Fasting during these days - as many of them as may be easy (for one to fast);
especially the Day of Arafah. There is no doubt that the act of fasting is one of the best deeds, and
it is from what Allah, the Most High, has chosen for himself, as in the Hadith Qudsee: Fasting is
for Me, and it is I who give reward for it. Verily, someone gives up his sexual passion, his food
and his drink for My sake..." (Al-Bukhaaree, Muslim, Maalik, at-Tirmidhee, Nasaa'ee and Ibn
Maajah)
Also, from Abu Sa'eed al-Khudree who said that the Messenger of Allah said: No servant (of
Allah, the Most High) fasts one day in the Path of Allah, except that Allah, the Most High,
removes his face from the Fire because of it (the distance of travelling) seventy years. (Al-
Bukhaaree and Muslim)
From Abu Qatadah that the Prophet said: Fasting the Day of Arafah will be credited with Allah
by forgiving one's sins of the previous year and the following year. (Muslim)
Third: At-Takbeer (Allah Akbar) and adh-Dhikr (the remembrance of Allah through different
words of praise and glorification) in these (ten) days, Allah said "And mention the name of Allah
on the appointed days"(12:28).
This has been explained (by some) to mean the ten days (of Zul-Hijjah), and the scholars consider
it desirable to increase adh-Dhikr in these days, based upon the hadith of Ibn Umar narrated by
Ahmad, which contains the words:
... so increase in these days the Tahleel and Takbeer and Tahmeed...
It is reported about Ibn Umar and Abu Hurairah that: the two of them used to go out to the market
place during the ten days (of Zul-Hijjah) saying: Allahu Akbar, causing the people also to say it.

Ishaaq narrates from the scholars of the Taabi'een that in these ten days they used to say:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Laa Ilaaha illa 'llah Wa 'llahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Wa li'llahi alhamd
.
It is a beloved act to raise the voice when saying the Takbeer in the markets, the houses, the
streets, the Masjids and other places, because of the saying of Allah, the Most High, in Surah al-
Hajj, verse 37: "... that you may magnify Allah for His Guidance to you"
The saying of Takbeer in congregation, ie everyone pronouncing the Takbeer with one voice, is
not permissible since this has not been transmitted (to us) from the early generations of the
Sahabah and those who followed their ways. Verily, the Sunnah is for everyone to say the
Takbeer individually. And this is (generally) applicable to Dhikr and supplications, except if the
person doesn't know what to say. In that case he may repeat after someone else until he learns
(the words to be said). It is also permissible to make Dhikr with all the different wording of
Takbeer and Tahmeed and Tasbeeh, and the rest of the Islamic legislated supplications (from the
Qur'an and Sunnah).
Fourth: At-Tawbah (repentance) and abstaining from disobedience and all types of sins,
since forgiveneand mercyare the results of deeds. Disobedience is the cause of being far away
(from Allah, the Most High) and repulsion, while obedience is the cause of being near (to Allah,
Most High) and His love. In the hadith of Abu Hurairah he said that the Prophet said: Verily
Allah has a sense of Ghaira, and Allah's sense of ghaira is provoked when a person does that
which Allah has prohibited. (Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim)
Fifth: Doing plenty of voluntary (nafl) righteous deeds of worship like Prayer, Charity,
Jihaad, reading the Qur'an, Commanding what is Good and Forbidding what is Evil, and other
such deeds.
Verily, these are amongst the deeds that are multiplied in these days. It is during these days that
even deeds that are less preferred, are superior and more beloved to Allah than superior deeds
done at other times. (These deeds are superior) even to al-Jihaad - which is one of the most
superior of all deeds - except in the case of one whose horse is killed and his blood is spilled (loss
of life in Jihaad).
Sixth: It is legislated in these days to make at-Takbeer al-Mutlaq at all times of night and day
until the time of the Eid Prayer. Also, at-Takbeer al-Muqayyad is legislated, and it is done after
the (five) obligatory prayers that are performed in congregation. This begins from Dawn (Fajr) on
the Day of Arafah (the 9th of Zul-Hijjah) for those not performing Haj, and from Noon (Zhur) on
the Day of Sacrifice (10th of Zul-Hijjah) for those performing Haj (pilgrims); and it continues
until Asr prayer on the last day of the days of Tash-reeq (13th of Zul-Hijjah).
Seventh: The slaughtering of a sacrificial animal (Adhiyah) is also legislated for the Day of
Sacrifice (10th) and the Days of Tashreeq (11th, 12th and 13th). This is the Sunnah of our father
Ibraaheem - when Allah, the Most High, redeemed Ibraaheem's son by the great sacrifice (of an
animal in his place). It is authentically reported that The Prophet Muhammad slaughtered
(sacrificed) two horned rams, black and white in colour, and said Takbeer (Allahu Akbar), and
placed his foot on their sides (while slaughtering them). (Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim)
Eighth: Offering animal as Udhyia It has been narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be
pleased with her) that the Prophet said: If you see the Hilal (new moon) of Zul-Hijjah, and any
one of you wants to make a sacrifice, then he should not cut (anything) from his hair and his
nails. (Muslim and others) . And in one narration, he said: .Then he should not cut (anything)
from his hair, nor from his nails, until he performs the sacrifice. Perhaps this is because of the
similarity with the one who is bringing a sacrificial animal for slaughter (in Haj). As Allah, the
Most High, said: And do not shave your heads until the Hady (sacrifice) reaches the place of
sacrifice...
The apparent meaning of this prohibition is that it is particularly for the one whom the sacrifice is
for, and does not include the wife or children, unless there is an individual sacrifice for one of
them. There is no harm in washing the head, or scratching it, even if hairs may fall out.
Ninth: It is incumbent for the Muslim (who is not performing Haj) to make every effort to
perform the Eid Prayer wherever it is performed, and to be present for the Khutbah and benefit.
He must know the wisdom behind the legislation of this Eid (celebration). It is a day of
thankfulness and performing deeds of righteousness. So, he must not make it a day of wildness,
pride and vanity. He should not make it a season for disobedience and increase in the forbidden
things like music and singing, uncontrolled amusement, intoxicants and the like - those things
which could cause the cancellation of the good deeds done in these days (of Zul-Hijjah).
Tenth: After what has been mentioned, it is fitting that every Muslim, male and female, take
advantage of these days by obeying Allah, the Most High, remembering Him, thanking Him,
fulfilling all the obligatory duties, and staying far away from the prohibited things. He must take
full advantage of this season, and the open display of Allah's gifts, to attain the pleasure of his
Lord.
Surely, Allah, the Most High, is the One Who grants success, and He is the Guide to the Straight
Path. And may the blessings of Allah, the Most High, and peace be upon Muhammad and his
family and companions!
Islamic Terms:
Ghaira: A sense of honour and prestige, and the anger caused by its being violated.
At-Takbeer al-Mutlaq: the Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) which is unrestricted to specific times or any
specific form.
At-Takbeer al-Muqayyad: The Takbeer which is done at a particular time and in a specific
manner.

Yusuf Islam, the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens, plans to perform concerts around Australia in June. I have liked his music, but I won't attend. I cannot forget watching an artist saying another deserved to die because of his art. Peter Kavanagh, a Victorian state MP goes further and suggests we deny him a visa unless he publicly recants from that view. Whatever the Immigration authorities decide, it's worth being clear on what he stood for. The publicity for his Australian tour trumpets: "As Cat Stevens he defined a generation". It's a big claim, even as marketing puff. Yusuf may indeed have done so, but not the way his promotion suggests. If one moment defines the cultural history of Yusuf's generation, it's Valentine's Day 1989. In Christopher Hitchens words: 'this was not just a warning of what was to come. It was the warning…For our time and generation, the great conflict between the ironic mind and the literal mind, the experimental and the dogmatic, the tolerant and the fanatical, is the argument that was kindled by The Satanic Verses.' Every time I hear a Cat Stevens song, or see a mention of Yusuf, my first thought is to remember his part in that argument. He was famous. As Cat Stevens he'd been a very popular singer songwriter. He wrote and sang lyrical songs full of concern for personal freedom and kindness and peace. By 1989, after a decade as Yusuf Islam, he'd been described as Britain's most famous Muslim convert. It was natural that he would be asked his opinion about Ayatollah Khomeini's call and promise of reward for Salman Rushdie's death. Yusuf agreed to join the panel of Geoffrey Robertson's Hypothetical to discuss the issues on television. I watched the program when it was shown in Australia in October that year. I'm still dismayed by the memory:Geoffrey Robertson: You don't think that this man deserves to die? Yusuf Islam: Who? Salman Rushdie? Geoffrey Robertson: Yes. Yusuf Islam: Yes, yes.Yusuf's website includes a variety of clarifications and justifications for his comments about Mr Rushdie on that program and elsewhere:- he never called for Rushdie's death or supported the fatwa;- his remarks in the Hypothetical were an attempt to lighten the moment and raise a smile, British dry humour; and- he's been tricked, misquoted and misinterpreted by the media.He uses a Nina Simone song he covered as a headline, '…please don't let me be misunderstood", and complains that no matter how many times he tries to explain, journalists bring it up 'as if it was the only memorable thing I was reported to have done in my almost sixty years living on this planet (yawn).' Recent articles say he now refuses to talk about the issue. Some postings of Hypothetical on YouTube say 'This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Yusuf Islam.' You may for the moment be able to judge for yourself here whether his comments were dead pan or in deadly earnest.Those who heard him at the time were in no doubt. Writer Fay Weldon, not unfamiliar with British dry humor, took him so seriously she wished the police superintendent on the panel would "come over and arrest this man here for inciting on television, people to violence implicitly and otherwise". Mr Rushdie certainly didn't get the joke. He later wrote to the Sunday Telegraph saying that however much Yusuf may wish to rewrite his past, he was neither misunderstood nor misquoted and recalled that asked what he'd do if Mr Rushdie turned up at his doorstep looking for help, he'd said 'I might ring somebody who might do more damage to him than he would like. I'd try to phone the Ayatollah Khomeini and tell him exactly where this man is'. Yusuf was quizzed repeatedly about his views, and he issued a statement on 2 March 1989 to clarify. [The statement is quoted in full as a footnote here.]He says that when asked questions he couldn't tell a lie and was just trying to describe Islamic law, and points out that there are 'similar harsh laws' in the Bible, and that 'Muslims are bound to keep within the limits of the law of the country in which they live'. This is disingenuous. Whether ancient legal codes prescribe violent physical punishment was never at issue. The question repeatedly asked of him was what place he thought such laws should have in a contemporary heterogenous world. It's clear he thinks English law deficient, and regretted that there was little chance of Islamic Law being applied in Britain in the near future. When he gave an extended interview to the US cable TV news program World Monitor, he reaffirmed his support for Mr Rushdie's death. His statements leave no doubt. He supported capital punishment for blasphemy and the killing of Salman Rushdie.We all make mistakes. There are constant reminders of the problems a few ill-chosen words in public can cause, including recent examples from Gordon Brown, then Prime Minister of the UK, to Nick Sowden, now expelled from the Queensland Liberal National Party. It's possible to interpret Yusuf's comments simply in terms of his own life, even to make light of them or to feel sorry for him, like his former fiancee Lucy Johnson, a stripper known as Princess Cheyenne, who was reported in the Boston Globe as saying at the time: "He's really a sweetheart; he just lost it. Obviously, he's gone through a lot of changes. He used to be an extremely fragile person. When he embraced Islam, it was like do or die. It was an all-encompassing thing for him. He goes by the protocol. If it's protocol, he's all for it. He's a very serious man. You've got to feel sorry for someone like that. Of all people to be for censorship, a writer. He wrote 'Peace Train' about an orgasm."Ultimately, however, it's not something to be made light of. It's not a yawn. It mattered then and it matters now. Yusuf supported killing a man because someone took offence at what he had written. Beyond the deaths and threats of violence that still continue, a generation whose legacy of cultural freedom allowed the young Cat Stevens to pursue his spiritual journey and to choose for himself was infected by self censorship and hate. Opportunities for mutual tolerance and accommodation have been diminished in favour of a readiness to take offence and contagious gangland demands for respect. The marketing puff for Yusuf's tour says when he was last here he was given books on Rumi and numerology - all part of his "Road to Findout" and promises he will his return will deliver "the result of an extraordinary spiritual journey." In his own life he has changed his name and changed his mind, and he makes much of his quest. Last year he unveiled a musical that he describes as 'a metaphorical mirror of my own journey.' One might hope that a man with such a life might be tolerant of the quests and questioning of others, however confident he was with his present position. But Yusuf had no sympathy for Mr Rushdie's artistic quest. He would look for juridical uncertainty when his son brought home a guitar, but not for Mr Rushdie's questioning. You don't think this man deserves to die? Yes, yes.In many cases, as then Prime Minister Brown desperately hoped, a ready apology and an acknowledgement of harm can lessen a mistake. But 20 years on Yusuf seems to think all the wrongs were done by others. Journalists asked him loaded questions. His replies were misinterpreted. It was the book, not the call for violence that "destroyed the harmony between peoples and created an unnecessary international crisis". At worst, his remarks were silly but they were dry English humour. He defined a generation but not as the young Cat Stevens enjoying and celebrating the fruits of freedom and searching for answers. He did it in a few words on television as a rigid man convinced he now had the answers, denying that freedom to others. He will probably sing Peace Train at his concerts: Now I've been crying lately,thinking about the world as it isWhy must we go on hating,why can't we live in bliss?It's time he stopped singing the question and answered it. He had an opportunity to stand for peace and tolerance when the need for such a voice was critical. Instead, when Geoffrey Robertson asked the question, he found no room for tolerance or doubt, but with dogmatic certainty took the side of violence and tyranny. For me, it remains the most important thing he ever did. Unless he revisits the issue and finds room for difference, in my mind he's forever defined by the choice he made in those weeks in 1989. The only message I hear from him is the echo of Khomeini's threat not just to Salman Rushdie but to every free thinker in the world: If you speak your mind we may kill you. استضافت الشروق ظهر أمس بمقرها ظاهرة فريدة من نوعها ولو لم ينته زمن المعجزات بانتهاء بعثة الأنبياء والرسل للزم علينا وصفها بالمعجزة..
إنه الطفل "فارح عبد الرحمان" ذو ثلاث سنوات فقط اصطفاه الله ليكون كرامة من كراماته يبعثها للناس في شهره المفضل شهر الرحمة والغفران، في أيامه العشر الأواخر في أرض الجزائر ليحفظ القرآن سماعا تارة من عند أمه، وتارة أخرى من مشاهدته للتلفزيون بصوت الشيخ العفاسي.

فهل مرّ على مسمع أحد منا أو رأى رأي العين طفلا في الثالثة من عمره يحفظ القرآن وما تيسر من السور الطوال حبا متراكبا دون أخطاء في أحكام التلاوة أو الخلط بين السور والآيات.
اسم هذا الطفل من صفته، فهو "فارح"، ولقب "فارح"، وحُق له ولوالديه أن يعتزا ويفرحا مما خرج من نطفة من مني يمنى.
المعروف عندنا أن الطفل في سن الثالثة مايزال رهن اللعب والبكاء، والنوم "بالرضاعة" في أحسن الأحوال، إن لم نقل أن من أقرانه من هو الآن بين ذراعي أمه تهزه يمنة ويسرة وتربّت على جسده حتى ينام ليدعها تتجه لتحضير عشاء الإفطار !..

لقد همّ فريق الشروق دفعة واحدة إلى مكان انبعاث صوت النابغة "عبد الرحمن" وهو يفتتح الجلسة بسورة الكهف فقرأها برواية حفص عن عاصم من طريق الشاطبية، محاولا تقليد الشيخ العفاسي، ولم يخطئ في السورة خطأ واحدا، بل إنه أتى بجميع المدود وبمقدار حركاتها المعروفة عند أهل الإختصاص وبالرغم من إصابته بنزلة برد، وإتفاع حرارته، إلا أنه أبى إلا أن يتم ترتيله، حتى أوقفناه إستئناسا به وشغفا منا لمعرفة قدرته العجيبة في الحفظ والتمكين من الدقة في رفع المرفوع ومد الممدود وكسر المكسور وترقيق المرقق من الحروف، وإدغام المدغم بالغنة وغير الغنة.
ما يسحر عقلك أيها القارئ أن النابغة "عبد الرحمان" تأخر نطقه لمدة سنتين كاملتين، ولما نطق - تقول والدته - نطق بقراءته لسورة الكهف دون تكلف أو إجهاد في مخارج الحروف، بل أكثر من ذلك قرأها، وكأنه ولد بها كما وصفه أبوه بهذا الوصف، حتى إن أباه أخذته الدهشة مأخذ الحيرة فشخّص بصره وصعّده ونزّله في "لقمة" ابنه الذي تأخر انجابه 3 سنوات كاملة، وهو يرى ولا يكاد يصدق ما يرى..

إن النقطة الهامة في قضية الظاهرة "عبد الرحمان" حينما كان في بطن أمه، فهذه الأخيرة كانت مواضبة على قراءة سورة الكهف يوميا، توحما منها، وما إن تنتهي منها حتى تكسوها راحة وطمأنينة لامثيل لها، ويؤكد علماء الأجنة أن الجنين يتأثر بما تتأثر به أمه، فإذا كانت عاشقة للموسيقى، نزل هذا الحال وسقط على الجنين ولفه في ملفه، أما إن كانت أمه متأثرة بسماع القرآن - وهي الحالة التي بين أيدينا - وصل صوت القرآن إلى قلب الجنين.. وسبحان من خلق فأبدع الخلق.
وللأمانة الإعلامية فكل التقدير لإذاعة القرآن ولمديرها على هذا التعاون من أجل اكتشاف النوابغ في أرض المعجزات، قالها مفدي زكريا للأجيال وتركها تلعلع في سمائنا.
أمه كانت ترقيه بالآيات وهو صاحب 6 أشهر
نطق بالقرآن الكريم في سنّ الثانية من عمره ويطلب من والده أن يسمعه القرآن في السيارة

ذكرت والدة الطفل عبد الرحمن أن ابنها بدأ حفظه للأجزاء التي يحفظها من القرآن الكريم انطلاقا من سماعه لقناة العفاسي الفضائية التي كان ينصت إليها كثيرا خاصة في الفترات التي تقضيها هي في الصلاة.
وقالت إنه لما كان عمره ستة أشهر كانت هي ترقيه حفظا له من العين ومن كل مكروه، فلما كانت تنتهي من قراءة القرآن الكريم من أجل أن تمسح على جسده يرفع يديه إليها استعدادا للمسح عليه استيعابا منه أن تلاوة القرآن انتهت.
وكانت المعجزة في هذا الطفل كما ذكرت والدته أنه نطق بما كان يسمعه من تلاوات متتالية على قناة العفاسي قبل أن ينطق بالكلام العادي في سن الثانية من العمر، وعلى الرغم من أنه لا يعرف نطق الكلمات كاملة ولا يعرف التعبير عن حاجياته كما يجب إلا أنه يستوعب جيدا اسم السور والآيات التي تندرج تحتها، ويعرف تسمية الأحاديث.
وذكرت والدته أن ابنها لا يعرف لا القراءة ولا الكتابة إلا أنه تمكن من حفظ بعض من القرآن الكريم من خلال استماع متواصل لقناة العفاسي التي لا يحب بديلا عنها، مسجلة أسفا على أنها لم تعد تبثّ الآن القرآن الكريم كما كانت في السابق، وحفظ كذلك هذا القدر من كتاب الله العزيز الحكيم عند سماعه لحفظ والدته التي تحفظ سورة البقرة والجزء الأخير من معجزة نبينا محمد صلّى الله عليه وسلم.
وعلى صغر سنه، فالطفل عبد الرحمن يحترم في تلاوته الاستعاذة من الشيطان الرجيم والتسمية واحترام أغلب أحكام المد وغيرها من الأحكام، ولما يذكر حديثا معينا يذكر الراوي فضلا عن عدم تفويت الصلاة والسلام على النبي الكريم كلما ذكره هو أو غيره، وهي أمور تعلمها أيضا من قناة العفاسي وأيضا من محيطه الأسري المتكوّن من أمه ووالده اللذين رزقا به بعد انتظار دام ثلاث سنوات.
والغريب والموحي بالمعجزة أكثر في هذا الطفل أن نفس السور التي كانت تقرأها والدته فترة حملها هي التي تمكن من حفظها بسهولة من القنوات الفضائية، كما يحفظ دعاء ختم القرآن الكريم كاملا غير منقوص مثلما تم استعراضه أمس في منتدى الشروق اليومي.
كما بدأ عبد الرحمن النطق بقراءة المعوذتين، أواخر سورة البقرة وآية الكرسي وهي الآيات التي تتردد يوميا في أدعية الصباح والمساء، ومن شدّة ولعه بالقرآن الكريم يطلب عبد الرحمن من أبيه دوما أن يسمعه دعاء ختم القرآن الكريم لحظات تواجده معه في السيارة.

سطّر والد الطفل عبد الرحمن برنامجا أوليا لحياة ابنه يتمثل في إعانته بالوسائل السمعية البصرية من أجل تحفيظه القرآن الكريم كاملا والتمكّن من مختلف القراءات، إلى غاية بلوغه سن الخامسة حيث ينوي أن يدخله إلى مدرسة قرآنية تستقيم فيها تلاوته على يد المدرسين، وتردد في إدخاله في هذه السن مخافة أن تختلط عليه الأمور وينسى ما حفظه من سور وآيات، كونه لازال لا يعرف القراءة ولا الكتابة.
وقد كان الطفل محل إعجاب كبير من ابن أخ المقرئ الشيخ المنشاوي لدى ظهوره على شاشة التلفزيون في حصة صباحيات منذ أسبوع تقريبا، حيث أثنى عليه الشيخ وعلى قراءته وحفظه على صغر سنّه، وقال إنه ظاهرة فريدة من نوعها وقليل وجودها في العالم ويعدّ أصحابها على رؤوس الأصابع، مضيفا أنها تستحق الدعم والصقل إلى أن تبلغ مراحل التمام والكمال.
وثمّن والد عبد الرحمن مجهودات الدولة الجزائرية واهتمامها منذ عشر سنوات خلت بالقرآن الكريم وحفظته من خلال دعمه المادي وإنشاء المسابقات والاهتمام الإعلامي وغيرها من الأمور التي تحفّز على امتلاك موهبة والوصول بها إلى مراحلها الأخيرة.
وعاتب والد الطفل المسؤولين في الجزائر أنه بعد ظهور ابنه منذ أسبوع على شاشة التلفزيون بمعجزة الحفظ التي أبانها أمام الملايين من المشاهدين، إلا أن أحدا منهم لم يكلف نفسه عناء رفع سماعة الهاتف لتشجيع الطفل وتحفيزه على مواصلة المشوار.
ولم يثن هذا الأمر من عزيمة الوالد الذي وعد بأن يجعل منه مقرئا وأن يصل به إلى مكانة حفظة القرآن الكريم.

يتلو القرآن وهو يبتسم، تشده الأشياء التي من حوله، يحركها لكنه لا يتوقف عن قراءة القرآن عندما يخطئ تصحح له والدته من حين لآخر بعض هفوات القراءة، يستجيب ويمضي في القراءة، ولا يتوقف إلا عندما تنتهي السورة، تتغير ملامح وجهه بتغير آيات القرآن الكريم، ويرتل القرآن الكريم بأحكامه، فكيف لطفل لم يتجاوز عمره ثلاث سنوات أن يحفظ سورة الكهف، ومريم، وجزء عم وحتى الأحاديث النبوية؟
عندما تقف أمام عبد الرحمان وهو يحفظ القرآن الكريم بالتجويد وبأحكامه يخيل لك أنك أمام شيخ أو إمام مسجد، لكن في حالة عبد الرحمان نحن أمام طفل صغير لا يعرف حتى القراءة والكتابة حتى أنه عندما سألناه كم عمرك رد قائلا : "عمري أسبوعين"، وعندما يُطلب منه أن يقرأ القرآن لا ينسى منه شيئا ولا يتوقف إلا عندما تصحح له بعد الهفوات، حتى أن لسانه لا يزال ينطق بعض الحروف مكسرة، عندما طرحنا على والدته كيف حفظ عبد الرحمان القرآن الكريم ردت قائلة "عندما كنت حاملا كنت أتلو القرآن الكريم وكنت كل يوم جمعة أقرأ سورة الكهف، ويوميا أقرأ المعوذتين وسورة الملك، بعد ولادة عبد الرحمان، كنت أرقيه يوميا وأقرأ عليه أذكار الصباح والمساء، كان لا ينام إلا عندما أقرأ الأذكار، وعندا أرقيه يهدأ وينام"، وفي ردها متى اكتشفت بأنه يحفظ القرآن الكريم قالت بعد سنتين من عمره.
وعن يومياته تقول والدته بأنه يمضي يومه في مشاهدة قناة "العفاسي" خاصة عند عرض أجزاء من القرآن الكريم، وحتى عندما أشاهده يلعب يكون يدندن بينه وبين نفسه بآيات من القرآن الكريم، وعندما أرغب في أن أضع له برامج الرسوم المتحركة يرفض ويطلب مني مشاهدة قناة العفاسي.
عبد الرحمان لم يدخل مدرسة قرآنية، ولا مسجدا، ولم يعلمه أحد حفظ القرآن الكريم، هو إذن كما قال عنه والده "الملاك الحافظ لكتاب الله"، والدته من قوة حرصها عليه تخاف عليه من الاختلاط ومن اللعب في الشارع خوفا أن ينسى ما حفظه من كتاب الله أو أن يحفظ أمورا أخرى.
جدير بالذكر أن والدته أخبرت الشروق بأنه سيتم ختانه في هذا رمضان.

منح له مبلغا معتبرا من المال

كرم المدير العام علي فضيل الطفل الظاهرة عبد الرحمان فارح ووالديه، بمنحه مبلغا معتبرا من المال خلال نزوله ضيفا على طاقم جريدة الشروق اليومي.
وكان الطفل عبد الرحمان بكل عفوية وبراءة الطفولة تجاوب مع المدير العام علي فضيل وهو يحمله بين يديه ليقول له "بارك الله فيك"، وبدا سعيدا جدا بما منحه له المدير العام علي فضيل. وكان الطفل الظاهرة قد قرأ لدى نزوله ضيفا على جريدة الشروق اليومي كل من سورة الكهف، وبعض أجزاء عم، كما وقف المدير العام لجريدة الشروق اليومي علي فضيل مطولا مع والد عبد الرحمان محمد فارح، هذا الأخير الذي شكر كرم المدير العام ونوه بالإلتفاتة الكبيرة له ولابنه، طالبا من السلطات أن تساعده لرعاية عبد الرحمان، حتى يصبح واحدا من حفظة وحملة كتاب الله الكريم.

بعفوية مطلقة رد عبد الرحمان على أحد الصحفيين عندما سأله ماذا ستكون في المستقبل فرد قائلا: "سأشتري الخبز لأمي عندما أكبر ..".
أعرف الشروق لأن والدي يشتريها
قال عبد الرحمان إنه يعرف الشروق لأن والده يشتريها يوميا، ويجلبها معه إلى البيت، وقال والده بأن جريدة الشروق اليومي تدخل يوميا إلى المنزل قائلا : إنها فعلا الجريدة المقربة إلى قلوبنا.
أشاهد العفاسي وأصلي مع أبي في المسجد
رد عبد الرحمان بعفوية مطلقة بأنه يشاهد قناة العفاسي في التلفاز، وبأنه يذهب مع أبيه للصلاة، ويعرف كيف يصلي.

في رده على أحد الأسئلة عن سنه قال الطفل الظاهرة بأن عمره "أسبوعين" قبل أن يصحح له والده سنه ويرد قائلا عمري ثلاث سنوات، وأقطن ببئر توتة.

30 And when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy in the earth, they said: Wilt thou place therein one who will do harm therein and will shed blood, while we, we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Thee ? He said: Surely I know that which ye know not.

31 And He taught Adam all the names, then showed them to the angels, saying: Inform Me of the names of these, if ye are truthful.
32They said: Be glorified! We have no knowledge saving that which Thou hast taught us. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower, the Wise.

33 He said: O Adam! Inform them of their names, and when he had informed them of their names, He said: Did I not tell you that I know the secret of the heavens and the earth ? And I know that which ye disclose and which ye hide.

34 And when We said unto the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam, they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He demurred through pride, and so became a disbeliever.

35 And We said: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and eat ye freely (of the fruits) thereof where ye will; but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrong-doers.

36 But Satan caused them to deflect therefrom and expelled them from the (happy) state in which they were; and We said: Fall down, one of you a foe unto the other! There shall be for you on earth a habitation and provision for a time.

37 Then Adam received from his Lord words (of revelation), and He relented toward him. Lo! He is the relenting, the Merciful.

38 We said: Go down, all of you, from hence; but verily there cometh unto you from Me a guidance; and whoso followeth My guidance, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.

And lo! there is a party of them who distort the Scripture with their tongues, that ye may think that what they say is from the Scripture, when it is not from the Scripture. And they say: It is from Allah, when it is not from Allah; and they speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly.

It is not (possible) for any human being unto whom Allah had given the Scripture and wisdom and the prophethood that he should afterwards have said unto mankind: Be slaves of me instead of Allah; but (what he said was): Be ye faithful servants of the Lord by virtue of your constant teaching of the Scripture and of your constant study thereof.

And he commanded you not that ye should take the angels and the prophets for lords. Would he command you to disbelieve after ye had surrendered (to Allah)?

And whoso seeketh as religion other than the Surrender (to Allah) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.

How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and (after) they bore witness that the messenger is true and after clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty) had come unto them. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

As for such, their guerdon is that on them rests the curse of Allah and of angels and of men combined.

They will abide therein. Their doom will not be lightened, neither will they be reprieved;

The girl in the picture is Katie Kirkpatrick, she is 21 and next to her is her fiancé, Nick, 23. The picture was taken shortly before their wedding ceremony, held on January 11, 2005 in the U.S. Katie has terminal cancer and spend hours a day receiving medication.

In the picture, Nick is waiting for her on one of the many sessions of chemo to end.In spite of all the pain, organ failures, and morphine shots, Katie is going along with her weddingand took care of every detail. The dress had to be adjusted a few times due to her constant weight loss. . . An unusual accessory at the party was the oxygen tube that Katie used throughout the ceremonyand reception as well. The other couple in the picture are Nick's parents,excited to see their son marrying his high school sweetheart.Katie, in her wheelchair with the oxygen tube, listening to a song from her husband and friends At the reception, Katie had to take a few rests.The pain did not allow her to stand for long periods.Katie died five days after her wedding day. Watching a woman so ill and weak getting marriedand with a smile on her face makes us think..... Happiness is reachable, no matter how long it lasts. 153. The people of the Book ask thee to cause a book to descend to them from heaven: Indeed they asked Moses for an even greater (miracle), for they said: "Show us Allah in public," but they were dazed for their presumption, with thunder and lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even after clear signs had come to them; even so we forgave them; and gave Moses manifest proofs of authority.
154. And for their covenant we raised over them (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai); and (on another occasion) we said: "Enter the gate with humility"; and (once again) we commanded them: "Transgress not in the matter of the sabbath." And we took from them a solemn covenant.
155. (They have incurred divine displeasure): In that they broke their covenant; that they rejected the signs of Allah. that they slew the Messengers in defiance of right; that they said, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah.s Word; We need no more)";- Nay, Allah hath set the seal on their hearts for their blasphemy, and little is it they believe;-
156. That they rejected Faith; that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge;
157. That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-
158. Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;-
159. And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgment he will be a witness against them;-
160. For the iniquity of the Jews We made unlawful for them certain (foods) good and wholesome which had been lawful for them;- in that they hindered many from Allah.s Way;-
161. That they took usury, though they were forbidden; and that they devoured men's substance wrongfully;- we have prepared for those among them who reject faith a grievous punishment.
162. But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what hath been revealed to thee and what was revealed before thee: And (especially) those who establish regular prayer and practise regular charity and believe in Allah and in the Last Day: To them shall We soon give a great reward.

Muslims believe that Jesus was not crucified

Dear questioner, we would like to thank you for the great confidence you place in us, and we implore Allah Almighty to help us serve His cause and render our work for His Sake. In the first place, we would like to stress that Muslims believe that Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) was not crucified. Allah saved and raised him, and someone else was crucified in his place. Jesus (may Allah be pleased with him) will return before the Day of Judgment. However, he will not come back as a Prophet with a new Divine message; rather he will follow the religion of Islam as taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). After his return, in sha’ Allah, Jesus’ mission will be to destroy evil and kill the Anti-Christ. Responding to the question, Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi, former President of the Islamic Society of North America, states the following: "There is a great deal written on this subject by the commentators of the Qur'an and many other Muslim writers. This is not the place to go in any detail about this subject. You may read some good Qur'anic commentaries such as Yusuf Ali's translation and commentary or Maududi's Towards Understanding the Qur'an and other writings on this subject. Briefly, let me tell you that Allah Almighty says in the Qur’an: “And concerning their saying, 'We killed the Messiah Jesus son of Mary, Allah's Messenger.' They killed him not, nor crucified, but it appeared so to them. Indeed those who disagree concerning it are in doubt about it. They have no (true) knowledge about it except that they follow conjecture. Surely, they did not kill him. But Allah did take him up unto Himself. Allah is ever Mighty, Wise.” (An-Nisaa’: 157-158) Thus, according to Allah's testimony in the Qur'an, the crucifixion did not take place and Jesus was neither killed nor died on the cross. In the Gospel of Luke it is also written: "And he (Jesus) withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed, 'Father, if thou art willing, remove this cup (meaning death) from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.' And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him…" (Luke 22:41-43) Some Muslim scholars such as Ibn Taymiyah in his book al-Jawab As-Sahih have expressed that Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed to Allah to remove the cup of death from him. Allah Almighty who loved and cared for Jesus did not refuse his prayer. It is Allah's way that He accepts the prayers of His Prophets and Messengers. Thus, Allah accepted Jesus' prayer and willed what Jesus himself willed. Allah saved Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) from the pain and agony of death on the cross. He sent His angels to strengthen him (i.e., to support him and to give him the assurance that Allah would save him), and then they took him away from those who tried to kill him. The crowd, however, became confused and some of them thought that they killed Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) Allah has informed us that this indeed did not happen. There were many groups among early followers of Jesus who also believed that Jesus was saved from the death on the cross. They did not believe that he was crucified. However, slowly the doctrine of crucifixion (and with it the doctrines of redemption and atonement) became the orthodox doctrine and the Church condemned other positions. The Qur'an took the early and the true position in this matter. The Qur'an has emphasized both the humanity of Jesus as well as his greatness as a Messenger of Allah." Introduction
The following is a collection of 40 Hadith Qudsi. But what is Hadith Qudsi and how do they differ from other Hadith? The following discussion is given in the introduction to the book titled "Forty Hadith Qudsi" published by: Revival of Islamic Heritage Society, Islamic Translation Center, P.O.Box 38130, Aldahieh, Kuwait.
Hadith Qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) as revealed to him by the Almighty Allah. Hadith Qudsi (or Sacred Hadith) are so named because, unlike the majority of Hadith which are Prophetic Hadith, their authority (Sanad) is traced back not to the Prophet but to the Almighty.
Among the many definitions given by the early scholars to Sacred Hadith is that of as-Sayyid ash-Sharif al-Jurjani (died in 816 A.H.) in his lexicon At-Tarifat where he says: "A Sacred Hadith is, as to the meaning, from Allah the Almighty; as to the wording, it is from the messenger of Allah (PBUH). It is that which Allah the Almighty has communicated to His Prophet through revelation or in dream, and he, peace be upon him, has communicated it in his own words. Thus Qur'an is superior to it because, besides being revealed, it is His wording."

Hadith Qudsi 1:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
When Allah decreed the Creation He pledged Himself by writing in His book which is laid down with Him: My mercy prevails over my wrath.It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah).
Hadith Qudsi 2:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah Almighty has said:
The son of Adam denied Me and he had no right to do so. And he reviled Me and he had no right to do so. As for his denying Me, it is his saying: He will not remake me as He made me at first (1) - and the initial creation [of him] is no easier for Me than remaking him. As for his reviling Me, it is his saying: Assah has taken to Himself a son, while I am the One, the Everlasting Refuge. I begot not nor was I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me.
(1) i.e., bring me back to life after death.It was related by al-Bukhari (also by an-Nasa'i).
Hadith Qudsi 3:
On the authority of Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhaniyy (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) led the morning prayer for us at al-Hudaybiyah following rainfall during the night. When the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) finished, he faced the people and said to them: Do you know what your Lord has said? They said: Allah and his Messenger know best. He said: This morning one of my servants became a believer in Me and one a disbeliever. As for him who said: We have been given rain by virtue of Allah and His mercy, that one is a believer in Me, a disbeliever in the stars (2); and as for him who said: We have been given rain by such-and-such a star, that one is a disbeliever in Me, a believer in the stars.
(2) The pre-Islamic Arabs believed that rain was brought about by the movement of stars. This Hadith draws attention to the fact that whatever be the direct cause of such natural phenomena as rain, it is Allah the Almighty who is the Disposer of all things.

Hadith Qudsi 4:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah said:
Sons of Adam inveigh against [the vicissitudes of] Time, and I am Time, in My hand is the night and the day (1).
(1) As the Almighty is the Ordainer of all things, to inveigh aginst misfortunes that are part of Time is tantamount to inveighing against Him.
It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim).
Hadith Qudsi 5:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah (glorified and exalted be He) said:
I am so self-sufficient that I am in no need of having an associate. Thus he who does an action for someone else's sake as well as Mine will have that action renounced by Me to him whom he associated with Me.
It was related by Muslim (also by Ibn Majah).
Hadith Qudsi 6:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say:
The first of people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died a martyr. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favours and he will recognize them. [ The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I fought for you until I died a martyr. He will say: You have lied - you did but fight that it might be said [of you]: He is courageous. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. [Another] will be a man who has studied [religious] knowledge and has taught it and who used to recite the Quran. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I studied [religious] knowledge and I taught it and I recited the Quran for Your sake. He will say: You have lied - you did but study [religious] knowledge that it might be said [of you]: He is learned. And you recited the Quran that it might be said [of you]: He is a reciter. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. [Another] will be a man whom Allah had made rich and to whom He had given all kinds of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I left no path [untrodden] in which You like money to be spent without spending in it for Your sake. He will say: You have lied - you did but do so that it might be said [of you]: He is open-handed. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire.
It was related by Muslim (also by at-Tirmidhi and an-Nasa'i).
Hadith Qudsi 7:
On the authority of Uqbah ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the messenger of Allah (PBUH) say:
Your Lord delights at a shepherd who, on the peak of a mountain crag, gives the call to prayer and prays. Then Allah (glorified and exalted be He) say: Look at this servant of Mine, he gives the call to prayer and performs the prayers; he is in awe of Me. I have forgiven My servant [his sins] and have admitted him to Paradise.
It was related by an-Nasa'i with a good chain of authorities.
Hadith Qudsi 8:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH), who said:
A prayer performed by someone who has not recited the Essence of the Quran (1) during it is deficient (and he repeated the word three times), incomplete. Someone said to Abu Hurayrah: [Even though] we are behind the imam? (2) He said: Recite it to yourself, for I have heard the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be up on him) say: Allah (mighty and sublime be He), had said: I have divided prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. When the servant says: Al-hamdu lillahi rabbi l-alamin (3), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: My servant has praised Me. And when he says: Ar-rahmani r-rahim (4), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: My servant has extolled Me, and when he says: Maliki yawmi d-din (5), Allah says: My servant has glorified Me - and on one occasion He said: My servant has submitted to My power. And when he says: Iyyaka na budu wa iyyaka nasta in (6), He says: This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. And when he says: Ihdina s-sirata l- mustaqim, siratal ladhina an amta alayhim ghayril-maghdubi alayhim wa la d-dallin (7), He says: This is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.
(1) Surat al-Fatihah, the first surah (chapter) of the Qur'an.
(2) i.e. standing behind the imam (leader) listening to him reciting al-Fatihah.
(3) "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds."
(4) "The Merciful, the Compassionate".
(5) "Master of the Day of Judgement".
(6) "It is You we worship and it is You we ask for help".
(7) "Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favors, not of those against whom You are angry, nor of those who are astray".

Hadith Qudsi 9:
On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH), who said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says:
The fist of his actions for which a servant of Allah will be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayers. If they are in order, then he will have prospered and succeeded: and if they are wanting, then he will have failed and lost. If there is something defective in his obligatory prayers, the Lord (glorified and exalted be He) will say: See if My servant has any supererogatory prayers with which may be completed that which was defective in his obligatory prayers. Then the rest of his actions will be judged in like fashion.
It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Abu Dawud, an-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah and Ahmad).
Hadith Qudsi 10:
On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH), who said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says:
Fasting is Mine and it I who give reward for it. [A man] gives up his sexual passion, his food and his drink for my sake. Fasting is like a shield, and he who fasts has two joys: a joy whin he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. The change in the breath of the mouth of him who fasts is better in Allah's estimation than the smell of musk.

Hadith Qudsi 11:
On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH), who said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said:
Spend (on charity), O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.
It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim).
Hadith Qudsi 12:
On the authority of Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
A man from among those who were before you was called to account. Nothing in the way of good was found for him except that he used to have dealings with people and, being well-to-do, he would order his servants to let off the man in straitened circumstances [from repaying his debt]. He (the Prophet p.b.u.h) said that Allah said: We are worthier than you of that (of being so generous). Let him off.
It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari and an-Nasa'i).
Hadith Qudsi 13:
On the authority of Adiyy ibn Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
I was with the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and there came to him two men: one of them was complaining of penury (being very poor), while the other was complaining of brigandry (robbery). The Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: As for brigandry, it will be but a short time before a caravan will [be able to] go out of Mecca without a guard. As for penury, the Hour (Day of Judgement) will not arrive before one of you takes his charity around without finding anyone to accept it from him. Then (1) one of you will surely stand before Allah, there being no screed between Him and him, nor an interpreter to translate for him. Then He will say to him: Did I not bring you wealth? And he will say: Yes. Then He will say: Did I not send to you a messenger? And he will say: Yes. And he will look to his right and will see nothing but Hell-fire, then he will look to his left and will see nothing but Hell-fire, so let each of you protect himself against Hell-fire, be it with even half a date - and if he finds it not, then with a kind word.
(1) i.e. at the time of the Hour. It was related by al-Bukhari.
Hadith Qudsi 14:
On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH), who said:
Allah (glorified and exalted be He) has supernumerary angels who rove about seeking out gatherings in which Allah's name is being invoked: they sit with them and fold their wings round each other, fillin that which is between them and between the lowest heaven. When [the people in the gathering] depart, [the angels] ascend and rise up to heaven. He (the Prophet p.b.u.h.) said: Then Allah (mighty and sublime be He) asks them - [though] He is most knowing about them: From where have you come? And they say: We have come from some servants of Yours on Earth: they were glorifying You (Subhana llah), exalting you (Allahu akbar), witnessing that there is no god but You (La ilaha illa llah), praising You (Al-Hamdu lillah), and asking [favours] of You. He says: And what do they ask of Me? They say: They ask of You Your Paradise. He says: And have they seen My Paradise? They say: No, O Lord. He says: And how would it be were they to have seen My Paradise! They say: And they ask protection of You. He says: From what do they ask protection of Me? They say: From Your Hell-fire, O Lord. He says: And have they seen My Hell-fire? They say: NO. He says: And how would it be were they to have seen My Hell-fire: They say: And they ask for Your forgiveness. He (the Prophet p.b.u.h) said: Then He says: I have forgiven them and I have bestowed upon them what they have asked for,and I have granted them sanctuary from that from which they asked protection. He (the Prophet p.b.u.h) said: They say: O Lord, among then is So-and-so, a much sinning servant, who was merely passing by and sat down with them. He (the Prophet p.b.u.h) said: And He says: And to him [too] I have given forgiveness: he who sits with such people shall not suffer.

Hadith Qudsi 15:
On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Prophet (PBUH) said: Allah the Almighty said:
I am as My servant thinks I am (1). I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assemble better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.
(1) Another possible rendering of the Arabic is: "I am as My servant expects Me to be". The meaning is that forgiveness and acceptance of repentance by the Almighty is subject to His servant truly believing that He is forgiving and merciful. However, not to accompany such belief with right action would be to mock the Almighty.

Hadith Qudsi 16:
On the authority of son of Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), among the sayings he related from his Lord (glorified and exalted be He) is that He said:
Allah has written down the good deeds and the bad ones. Then He explained it [by saying that] he who has intended a good deed and has not done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as a full good deed, but if he has intended it and has done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as from ten good deeds to seven hundred times, or many times over. But if he has intended a bad deed and has not done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as a full good deed, but if he has intended it and has done it, Allah writes it down as one bad deed.
It was related by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
Hadith Qudsi 17:
On the authority of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH) is that among the sayings he relates from his Lord (may He be glorified) is that He said:
O My servants, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. O My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you, O My servants, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so seek food of Me and I shall feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you. O My servants, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and will not attain benefitting Me so as to benefit Me. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more that a needle decreases the sea if put into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then recompense you for, so let him finds good praise Allah and let him who finds other that blame no one but himself.

Hadith Qudsi 18:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) will say on the Day of Resurrection:
O son of Adam, I fell ill and you visited Me not. He will say: O Lord, and how should I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so had fallen ill and you visited him not? Did you not know that had you visited him you would have found Me with him? O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you fed Me not. He will say: O Lord, and how should I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so asked you for food and you fed him not? Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me? O son of Adam, I asked you to give Me to drink and you gave Me not to drink. He will say: O Lord, how should I give You to drink whin You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: My servant So-and-so asked you to give him to drink and you gave him not to drink. Had you given him to drink you would have surely found that with Me.

Hadith Qudsi 19:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said:
Pride is my cloak and greatness My robe, and he who competes with Me in respect of either of them I shall cast into Hell-fire.
It was related by Abu Dawud (also by Ibn Majah and Ahmad) with sound chains of authority. This Hadith also appears in Muslim in another version.
Hadith Qudsi 20:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
The gates of Paradise will be opened on Mondays and on Thursdays, and every servant [of Allah] who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven, except for the man who has a grudge against his brother. [About them] it will be said: Delay these two until they are reconciled; delay these two until they are reconciled.
It was related by Muslim (also by Malik and Abu Dawud).
Hadith Qudsi 21:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said that Allah the Almighty said:
There are three (1) whose adversary I shall be on the Day of Resurrection: a man who has given his word by Me and has broken it; a man who has sold a free man (2) and has consumed the price; and a man who has hired a workman, has exacted his due in full from him and has not given him his wage.
(1) i.e. types of men.
(2) i.e. a man who has made a slave of another and has sold him.
It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Ibn Majah and Ahmad ibn Hanbal).
Hadith Qudsi 22:
On the authority of Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
Let not any one of you belittle himself. They said: O Messenger of Allah, how can any one of us belittle himself? He said: He finds a matter concerning Allah about which he should say something, and he does not say [it], so Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says to him on the Day of Resurrection: What prevented you from saying something about such-and-such and such-and-such? He say: [It was] out of fear of people. Then He says: Rather it is I whom you should more properly fear.
It was related by Ibn Majah with a sound chain of authorities.
Hadith Qudsi 23:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection:
Where are those who love one another through My glory? Today I shall give them shade in My shade, it being a day when there is no shade but My shade.
It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Malik).
Hadith Qudsi 24:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
If Allah has loved a servant [of His] He calls Gabriel (on whom be peace) and says: I love So-and-so, therefore love him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: So Gabriel loves him. Then he (Gabriel) calls out in heaven, saying: Allah loves So-and-so, therefore love him. And the inhabitants of heaven love him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: Then acceptance is established for him on earth. And if Allah has abhorred a servant [of His], He calls Gabriel and says: I abhor So-and-so, therefore abhor him. So Gabriel abhors him. Then Gabriel calls out to the inhabitants of heaven: Allah abhors So-and-so, therefore abhor him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: So they abhor him, and abhorrence is established for him on earth.
It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, Malik, and at-Tirmidhi).
Hadith Qudsi 25:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said:
Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him.
It was related by al-Bukhari.
Hadith Qudsi 26:
On the authority of Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said:
Truly of those devoted to Me the one I most favour is a believer who is of meagre means and much given to prayer, who has been particular in the worship of his Lord and has obeyed Him inwardly (1), who was obscure among people and not pointed our, and whose sustenance was just sufficient to provide for him yet he bore this patiently. Then the Prophet (pbuh) rapped his hand and said: Death will have come early to him, his mourners will have been few, his estate scant.
(1) i.e. he has not been ostentatious in his obedience.
It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Ibn Majah). Its chain of authorities is sound.
Hadith Qudsi 27:
On the authority of Masruq, who said:
We asked Abdullah (i.e. Ibn Masud) about this verse: And do not regard those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead, rather are they alive with their Lord, being provided for (Quran Chapter 3 Verse 169). He said: We asked about that and the Prophet (pbuh) said: Their souls are in the insides of green birds having lanterns suspended from the Throne, roaming freely in Paradise where they please, then taking shelter in those lanterns. So their Lord cast a glance at them (1) and said: Do you wish for anything? They said: What shall we wish for when we roam freely in Paradise where we please? And thus did He do to them three times. When they say that they would not be spared from being asked [again], they said: O Lord, we would like for You to put back our souls into our bodies so that we might fight for Your sake once again. And when He saw that they were not in need of anything they were let be.
(1) i.e. at those who had been killed in the cause of Allah.

Hadith Qudsi 28:
On the authority of Jundub ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
There was amongst those before you a man who had a wound. He was in [such] anguish that he took a knife and made with it a cut in his hand, and the blood did not cease to flow till he died. Allah the Almighty said: My servant has himself forestalled Me; I have forbidden him Paradise.
It was related by al-Bukhari.
Hadith Qudsi 29:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says:
My faithful servant's reward from Me, if I have taken to Me his best friend from amongst the inhabitants of the world and he has then borne it patiently for My sake, shall be nothing less than Paradise.
It was related by al-Bukhari.
Hadith Qudsi 30:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said:
If My servant likes to meet Me, I like to meet him; and if he dislikes to meet Me, I dislike to meet him. Prophetic explanation of this Sacred Hadith: He who likes to meet Allah, Allah likes to meet him; and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah dislikes to meet him. Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Prophet of Allah, is it because of the dislike of death, for all of us dislike death? The Prophet (pbuh) said: It is not so, but rather it is that when the believer is given news of Allah's mercy, His approval and His Paradise, he likes to meet Allah and Allah likes to meet him; but when the unbeliever is given news of Allah's punishment and His displeasure, he dislikes to meet Allah and Allah dislikes to meet him.
It was related by al-Bukhari and Malik. The Prophetic version is related by Muslim.
Hadith Qudsi 31:
On the authority of Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) related:
A man said: By Allah, Allah will not forgive So-and-so. At this Allah the Almighty said: Who is he who swears by Me that I will not forgive So-and-so? Verily I have forgiven So-and-so and have nullified your [own good] deeds (1) (or as he said [it]).
(1) A similar Hadith, which is given by Abu Dawud, indicates that the person referred to was a goldly man whose previous good deeds were brought to nought through presuming to declare that Allah would not forgive someone's bad deeds.
It was related by Muslim.
Hadith Qudsi 32:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
A man sinned greatly against himself, and when death came to him he charged his sons, saying: When I have died, burn me, then crush me and scatter [my ashes] into the sea, for, by Allah, if my Lord takes possession of me, He will punish me in a manner in which He has punished no one [else]. So they did that to him. Then He said to the earth: Produce what you have taken-and there he was! And He said to him: What induced you to do what you did? He said: Being afraid of You, O my Lord (or he said: Being frightened of You) and because of that He forgave him.
It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah).
Hadith Qudsi 33:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (PBUH), from among the things he reports from his Lord (mighty and sublime be He), is that he said:
A servant [of Allah's] committed a sin and said: O Allah, forgive me my sin. And He (glorified and exalted be He) said: My servant has committed a sin and has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them. Then he sinned again and said: O Lord, forgive me my sin. And He (glorified and exalted be He) said: My servant has committed a sin and has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them. Then he sinned again and said: O Lord, forgive me my sin. And He (glorified and exalted be He) said: My servant has committed a sin and has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for sins. Do what you wish, for I have forgiven you.
It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari).
Hadith Qudsi 34:
On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: Allah the Almighty said:
O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it.
It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound.
Hadith Qudsi 35:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
Our Lord (glorified and exalted be He) descends each night to the earth's sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him?
It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud).
In a version by Muslim the Hadith ends with the words:
And thus He continues till [the light of] dawn shines.
Hadith Qudsi 36:
On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH), who said:
The believers will gather together on the Day of Resurrection and will say: Should we not ask [someone] to intercede for us with our Lord? So they will come to Adam and will say: You are the Father of mankind; Allah created you with His hand He made His angels bow down to you and He taught you the names of everything, so intercede for us with you Lord so that He may give us relief form this place where we are. And he will say: I am not in a position [to do that] - and he will mention his wrongdoing and will feel ashamed and will say: Go to Noah, for he is the first messenger that Allah sent to the inhabitants of the earth. So they will come to him and he will say: I am not in a position [to do that] - and he will mention his having requested something of his Lord about which he had no [proper] knowledge (Quran Chapter 11 Verses 45-46), and he will feel ashamed and will say: Go to the Friend of the Merciful (Abraham). So they will come to him and he will say: I am not in a position [to do that]. Go to Moses, a servant to whom Allah talked and to whom He gave the Torah. So they will come to him and he will say: I am not in a position [to do that] - and he will mention the talking of a life other that for a life (Quran Chapter 28 Verses 15-16), and he will fell ashamed in the sight of his Lord and will say: Go to Jesus, Allah's servant and messenger, Allah's word and spirit. So they will come to him and he will say: I am not in a position [to do that]. Go to Muhammad (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), a servant to whom Allah has forgiven all his wrongdoing, past and future. So they will come to me and I shall set forth to ask permission to come to my Lord, and permission will be given, and when I shall see my Lord I shall prostrate myself. He will leave me thus for such time as it pleases Him, and then it will be said [to me]: Raise your head. Ask and it will be granted. Speak and it will be heard. Intercede and your intercession will be accepted. So I shall raise my head and praise Him with a form of praise that He will teach me. Then I shall intercede and HE will set me a limit [as to the number of people], so I shall admit them into Paradise. Then I shall return to Him, and when I shall see my Lord [I shall bow down] as before. Then I shall intercede and He will set me a limit [as to the number of people]. So I shall admit them into Paradise. Then I shall return for a third time, then a fourth, and I shall say: There remains in Hell-fire only those whom the Quran has confined and who must be there for eternity. There shall come out of Hell-fire he who has said: There is no god but Allah and who has in his heart goodness weighing a barley-corn; then there shall come out of Hell-fire he who has said: There is no god but Allah and who has in his heart goodness weighing a grain of wheat; then there shall come out of Hell-fire he who has said: There is no god but Allah and who has in his heart goodness weighing an atom.

Hadith Qudsi 37:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah said:
I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen and no ear has heard, not has it occurred to human heart. Thus recite if you wish (1): And no soul knows what joy for them (the inhabitants of Paradise) has been kept hidden (Quran Chapter 32 Verse 17).
(1) The words "Thus recite if you wish" are those of Abu Harayrah.
It was related by al-Bukhari, Muslim, at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.
Hadith Qudsi 38:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
When Allah created Paradise and Hell-fire, He sent Gabriel to Paradise, saying: Look at it and at what I have prepared therein for its inhabitants. The Prophet (pbuh) said: So he came to it and looked at it and at what Allah had prepared therein for its inhabitants. The Prophet (pbuh) said: So he returned to Him and said: By your glory, no one hears of it without entering it. So He ordered that it be encompassed by forms of hardship, and He said: Return to it and look at what I have prepared therein for its inhabitants. The Prophet (pbuh) said: So he returned to it and found that it was encompassed by forms of hardship (1). Then he returned to Him and said: By Your glory, I fear that no one will enter it. He said: Go to Hell-fire and look at it and what I have prepared therein for its inhabitants, and he fount that it was in layers, one above the other. Then he returned to Him and said: By Your glory, no one who hears of it will enter it. So He ordered that it be encompassed by lusts. Then He said: Return to it. And he returned to it and said: By Your glory, I am frightened that no one will escape from entering it.
(1) The Arabic word used here is "makarih", the literal meaning of which is "things that are disliked". In this context it refers to forms of religious discipline that man usually finds onerous.
It was related by Tirmidhi, who said that it was a good and sound Hadith (also by Abu Dawud and an-Nasa'i).
Hadith Qudsi 39:
On the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
Paradise and Hell-fire disputed together, and Hell-fire said: In me are the mighty and the haughty. Paradise said: In me are the weak and the poor. So Allah judged between them, [saying]: You are Paradise, My mercy; through you I show mercy to those I wish. And you are Hell-fire, My punishment; through you I punish those I wish, and it is incumbent upon Me that each of you shall have its fill.
It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari and at-Tirmidhi).
Hadith Qudsi 40:
On the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
Allah will say to the inhabitant of Paradise: O inhabitants of Paradise! They will say: O our Lord, we present ourselves and are at Your pleasure, and goodness rests in Your hands. Then He will say: Are you contented? And they will say: And how should we not be contented, O Lord, when You have given to us that which You have given to no one else of Your creation? Then He will say: Would not like Me to give you something better than that? And they will say: O Lord and what thing is better than that? And He will say: I shall cause My favour to descend upon you and thereafter shall never be displeased with you.

Mohammed - the Prophet on his birth day

The Prophet Mohammed was born in the Arabian city of Mecca, roughly 570 years after the birth of another famous prophet, Jesus. Abdullah, his father, had died several weeks before his birth, followed by the death of his mother Aminah around the age of six. The grandfather who had stepped in as Mohammed's father died shortly after.
He was taken in by his uncle Abu-Talib, whom the young Mohammed began to assist as a shepherd, caravanner and shopkeeper. At the age of 25, Mohammed married Khadijah, a rich widow, his senior and his employer. Together they had six children but his two sons died young. His profession as trader brought him into contact with many different groups - Jews, Christians, Chinese, Hindus and so on. He also became active in a charitable brotherhood organised by another uncle.
In AD 605, the Kaaba at Mecca was assaulted first by fire, then by torrential rain. Mohammed participated in its rebuilding, setting in place a black stone in one of its walls and prompting the tradition of circumambulation
1 that occurs every year during the hadj, or pilgrimage. After this episode, he spent a good deal of time in spiritual study.

A Visitation from the Angel Gabriel

For the next few years, he fasted, prayed and meditated during the month of Ramadan in a mountain cave
2. Towards the end of one such retreat, Mohammed received a vision from the angel Gabriel, who told him he had been chosen to be God's messenger to mankind. After being instructed by the angel on the finer points of the message, Mohammed returned home deeply disturbed.
He was even more worried when he received no more visions for three years, during which time Mohammed devoted more and more time to prayer and meditation. When the visions returned, God told Mohammed to preach against evil, idolatry and to promote the virtues of monotheism and charity to the needy. As his ministry in Mecca grew, he inevitably fell foul of the city's elders. Mohammed experienced the mi'raj, a vision in which he is received into Heaven and is witness to its wonders. He is given the Islamic ritual prayer, the salaat, to take to the people. Unfortunately, the people of Mecca and the city of Ta'if drove the Prophet off in a hail of stones.
The City of Medina
In 622, of the Christian era, to escape persecution, Mohammed took his supporters and headed for Medina
3. Mohammed and his followers travelled extensively, taking his message to various tribes with varying degrees of success. In Medina, Mohammed became both a spiritual and temporal leader, organising the wealthier of the local families and helping to establish Medina as a city-state, with a written constitution.
The following decade was marked by a series of small conflicts with rival cities and tribes, as well as expansion of support for Mohammed and the new religion. In 630, Mecca surrendered to Mohammed in the face of such odds. In spite of all the transgressions the Meccans had made against Mohammed and his followers, he chose to take no reprisal against them.
Final Pilgrimage
Mohammed made one final pilgrimage to Mecca in 632. There he gave a sermon to a large number of Muslims, a synopsis of Islam
4, the new faith. He spoke of belief in one God without images and symbols, the equality of believers, the importance of piety and selflessness, better treatment of women and equal distribution of wealth and inheritance.
Upon his return to Medina, Mohammed fell ill with a fever, dying several weeks later. At the time of his death, the Prophet left a new state with a new system of law and ethics balanced between the spiritual and temporal, and the peoples of Arabia, Iraq and Palestine united under a common religion. Within a century, Islam and Mohammed's message spread far beyond the desert sands, from Spain to China.

Quran, Surah 6. The Cattle (Livestock):

59. With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).
60. It is He who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.
61. He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers, and He sets guardians over you. At length, when death approaches one of you, Our angels take his soul, and they never fail in their duty.
62. Then are men returned unto Allah, their protector, the (only) reality: Is not His the command? and He is the swiftest in taking account.
63. Say: "Who is it that delivereth you from the dark recesses of land and sea, when ye call upon Him in humility and silent terror: 'If He only delivers us from these (dangers), (we vow) we shall truly show our gratitude'.?"
64. Say "It is Allah that delivereth you from these and all (other) distresses: and yet ye worship false gods!"
65. Say: "He hath power to send calamities on you, from above and below, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, giving you a taste of mutual vengeance - each from the other." See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); that they may understand.
66. But thy people reject this, though it is the truth. Say: "Not mine is the responsibility for arranging your affairs;
67. For every message is a limit of time, and soon shall ye know it."
68. When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong.
69. On their account no responsibility falls on the righteous, but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (learn to) fear Allah.
70. Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah. if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah.
71. Say: "Shall we indeed call on others besides Allah,- things that can do us neither good nor harm,- and turn on our heels after receiving guidance from Allah. - like one whom the evil ones have made into a fool, wandering bewildered through the earth, his friends calling, come to us', (vainly) guiding him to the path." Say: "(Allah)'s guidance is the (only) guidance, and we have been directed to submit ourselves to the Lord of the worlds;-
72. "To establish regular prayers and to fear Allah. for it is to Him that we shall be gathered together."
73. It is He who created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): the day He saith, "Be," behold! it is. His word is the truth. His will be the dominion the day the trumpet will be blown. He knoweth the unseen as well as that which is open. For He is the Wise, well acquainted (with all things).

In this chapter of the Quran Luqman advices his son. In fact, in Muslim litreture we call Luqman as 'Luqman the wiseman'.
It is related that Allah's wisdom exceeds our immagination and we know nothing but little!!!
Please read the passage, and feel how that would affect you, have a nice read:

Surah 31:Luqman (Luqman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
1. A. L. M.
2. These are Verses of the Wise Book,-
3. A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,-
4. Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter.
5. These are on (true) guidance from their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper.
6. But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty.
7. When Our Signs are rehearsed to such a one, he turns away in arrogance, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in both his ears: announce to him a grievous Penalty.
8. For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,-
9. To dwell therein. The promise of Allah is true: and He is Exalted in Power, Wise.
10. He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs.
11. Such is the Creation of Allah. now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error.
12. we bestowed (in the past) Wisdom on Luqman: "Show (thy) gratitude to Allah." Any who is (so) grateful does so to the profit of his own soul: but if any is ungrateful, verily Allah is free of all wants, Worthy of all praise.
13. Behold, Luqman said to his son by way of instruction: "O my son! join not in worship (others) with Allah. for false worship is indeed the highest wrong-doing."
14. And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.
15. "But if they strive to make thee join in worship with Me things of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not; yet bear them company in this life with justice (and consideration), and follow the way of those who turn to me (in love): in the end the return of you all is to Me, and I will tell you the truth (and meaning) of all that ye did."
16. "O my son!" (said Luqman), "If there be (but) the weight of a mustard-seed and it were (hidden) in a rock, or (anywhere) in the heavens or on earth, Allah will bring it forth: for Allah understands the finest mysteries, (and) is well-acquainted (with them).
17. "O my son! establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs.
18. "And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.
19. "And be moderate in thy pace, and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass."
20. Do ye not see that Allah has subjected to your (use) all things in the heavens and on earth, and has made his bounties flow to you in exceeding measure, (both) seen and unseen? Yet there are among men those who dispute about Allah, without knowledge and without guidance, and without a Book to enlighten them!
21. When they are told to follow the (Revelation) that Allah has sent down, they say: "Nay, we shall follow the ways that we found our fathers (following). "What! even if it is Satan beckoning them to the Penalty of the (Blazing) Fire?
22. Whoever submits his whole self to Allah, and is a doer of good, has grasped indeed the most trustworthy hand-hold: and with Allah rests the End and Decision of (all) affairs.
23. But if any reject Faith, let not his rejection grieve thee: to Us is their return, and We shall tell them the truth of their deeds: for Allah knows well all that is in (men's) hearts.
24. We grant them their pleasure for a little while: in the end shall We drive them to a chastisement unrelenting.
25. If thou ask them, who it is that created the heavens and the earth. They will certainly say, "(Allah)". Say: "Praise be to Allah." But most of them understand not.
26. To Allah belong all things in heaven and earth: verily Allah is He (that is) free of all wants, worthy of all praise.
27. And if all the trees on earth were pens and the ocean (were ink), with seven oceans behind it to add to its (supply), yet would not the words of Allah be exhausted (in the writing): for Allah is Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.

Jesus in the Glorious Qur'an

Introduction
The Qur’an tells us a lot of wonderful things about Jesus. As a result, believers in the Qur’an love Jesus, honour him, and believe in him. In fact, no Muslim can be a Muslim unless he or she believes in Jesus, on whom be peace.
The Qur’an says that Jesus was born of a virgin, that he spoke while he was still only a baby, that he healed the blind and the leper by God’s leave, and that he raised the dead by God’s leave.
What then is the significance of these miracles? First, the virgin birth. God demonstrates his power to create in every way. God created everyone we know from a man and a woman. But how about Adam, on whom be peace? God created him from neither a man nor a woman. And Eve from only a man, but not a woman. And, finally, to complete the picture, God created Jesus from a woman, but not a man.
What about the other miracles? These were to show that Jesus was not acting on his own behalf, but that he was backed by God. The Qur’an specifies that these miracles were performed by God’s leave. This may be compared to the Book of Acts in the Bible, chapter 2, verse 22, where it says that the miracles were done by God to show that he approved of Jesus. Also, note that Jesus himself is recorded in the Gospel of John to have said, “I can do nothing of my own authority” (5:30). The miracles, therefore, were done not by his own authority, but by God’s authority.
What did Jesus teach? The Qur’an tells us that Jesus came to teach the same basic message which was taught by previous prophets from God—that we must shun every false god and worship only the one true God. Jesus taught that he is the servant and messenger of that one true God, the God of Abraham. These Quranic teachings can be compared with the Bible ( Mark 10:18; Matthew 26:39; John 14:28, 17:3, and 20:17) where Jesus teaches that the one he worshipped is the only true God. See also Matthew 12:18; Acts 3:13, and 4:27 where we find that his disciples knew him as Servant of God.
The Qur’an tells us that some of the Israelites rejected Jesus, and conspired to kill him, but Allah (God) rescued Jesus and raised him to Himself. Allah will cause Jesus to descend again, at which time Jesus will confirm his true teachings and everyone will believe in him as he is and as the Qur’an teaches about him.
Jesus is the Messiah. He is a word from Allah, and a spirit from Him. He is honoured in this world and in the hereafter, and he is one of those brought nearest to Allah.
Jesus was a man who spoke the truth which he heard from God. This can be compared with the Gospel According to John where Jesus says to the Israelites: “You are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God” (John 8:40).

The Virgin Birth of Jesus
Muslims believe in the virgin birth of Jesus. When the angels announced to Mary (peace be upon her) about Allah’s promise that she will have a son, she was surprised, since she was a virgin. “How can this be?” she thought. She was reminded that it is easy for Allah to create whatever he wills.
She said: My Lord! How can I have a child when no mortal hath touched me? He said: So (it will be). Allah createth what He will. If He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is (Qur’an 3:47).
It is not difficult for Allah to do anything he wants. He can create a child with both human parents or only one. No miracle is beyond His power. After all, He had created Adam (peace be upon him) from neither a man nor a woman. He created the rest of us from both man and woman. What is so hard if Allah decides to create a human being from a woman only? He only commands “Be!” and it occurs.
Some people think that since Jesus, peace be upon him, had no human father then God must be his father. The Qur’an rejects this view. The position of Jesus with Allah is comparable to the position of Adam with Allah. Just because Adam had no human parent does not mean we should call him the Son of God.
Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is. (Qur’an 3:59).
According to the Qur’an, everyone except Allah are His servants.
And they say: the Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a Son. Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing, whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall to ruins, that ye ascribe to the Beneficent a son, when it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should chose a son. There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave. (Qur’an 19:88-93)

The Miracles of Jesus
According to the Qur’an, Jesus, on whom be peace, performed the following miracles by Allah’s leave:
1. Spoke while he was only a baby.
2. Healed those born blind.
3. Healed the lepers.
4. Revived the dead.
5. Breathed life into a bird made of clay.
In the Qur’an Allah quotes Jesus, peace be upon him, as saying:
Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird by Allah’s leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah’s leave. And I announce to you what you eat and what you store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you if you are to be believers. And (I come) confirming that which was before me of the Torah, and to make lawful some of that which was forbidden unto you. I come unto you with a sign from your Lord, so keep your duty to Allah and obey me. Lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path. (Qur’an 3: 49-51).
Again, in the Qur’an Allah tells us about the situation on the Day of Judgement:
In the day when Allah gathers together the messengers and says: What was your response (from mankind)? they say: We have no knowledge. Lo! Thou, only Thou art the Knower of Things Hidden. When Allah says: O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour unto you and unto your mother; how I strengthened you with the holy Spirit, so that you spoke unto mankind in the cradle as in maturity; and how I taught you the Scripture and Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and how you did shape of clay as it were the likeness of a bird by My permission, and did blow upon it and it was a bird by My permission, and you did heal him who was born blind and the leper by My permission . . . (Qur’an 5:109-110)
Not all of these miracles are recorded in the canonical gospels, the four gospels contained in the Christian Bible.
The fact that Jesus spoke while he was yet a baby is not written anywhere in the Bible. This should not be surprising, because none of the Gospels can claim to recover every single event in the life of Jesus. Instead, the gospel According to John seeks to emphasize that the events were too many to record.
Similarly, the miracle of breathing life into a bird made of clay is not attested by the Christian Bible. This too should not make us wonder. It is obvious that the writers of the gospels could write down only the tradition that was available to them. Furthermore, they could not write down everything they knew about Jesus for they were writing on papyrus material that were very limited in length.
What is worthy to notice here is that the Prophet Muhammad, may peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him, was honest enough to promulgate this information about Jesus. The religion taught by God through Muhammad would deny the divinity of Jesus. Any human being, therefore, who wished to deny the divinity of Jesus would have tried to belittle Jesus. Since Christians looked upon the miracles of Jesus as a proof of his divinity, we might expect that any human being who tries to deny the divinity of Jesus would not have informed people of miracles not previously known to them. He might have even tried to deny some of the miracles recorded in the canonical gospels. On the other hand, the prophet Muhammad honestly conveyed the message delivered to him from Allah. (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.)
Allah tells us the truth without fear. Human beings trying to win followers tell us only what is conducive to winning us over. They usually withhold information that could lead to opposite conclusions. On the other hand, Allah informs us about the miracles of Jesus even if people use this information to support their prior commitment to the doctrine of the divinity of Jesus. Allah does not need to win worshippers. Those who worship Allah does so for their own good. And those who worship false gods do so to their own detriment.
What Allah emphasizes, though, is that the miracles of Jesus do not prove he was divine. The miracles he performed were a sign, a proof, that he was God’s messenger. He performed them with God’s help and permission. Those who use his miracles as proof of his divinity would choose to forget the following sayings of Jesus:
I can of my own authority do nothing. (John 5:30)
They also forget the declaration of Peter:
Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves know. (Acts 2:22 KJV).
These passages suggest that Jesus did not do miracles on his own. These, rather were accomplished by God’s leave. Allah reminds us of this. Jesus also constantly repeated to his audience that the miracles he performed were by God’s leave.

The Last Sermon of the Prophet

The last sermon of the Prophet-peace be upon him- is known as Khutbatul Wada'. It is mentioned in almost all books of Hadith. Following Ahadith in Sahih Al-Bukhari refer to the sermon and quote part of it. See Al-Bukhari, Hadith 1623, 1626, 6361) Sahih of Imam Muslim also refers to this sermon in Hadith number 98. Imam al-Tirmidhi has mentioned this sermon in Hadith nos. 1628, 2046, 2085. Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal has given us the longest and perhaps the most complete version of this sermon in his Masnud, Hadith no. 19774.

This Khutbah of the Prophet-peace be upon him- was long and it contained much guidance and instructions on many issues. The Prophet-peace be upon him- gave this sermon in front of a large gathering of people during Hajj.

Whosoever heard whatever part of the sermon reported it and later some scholars put it together. It is a great khutbah and we should all pay attention to its message and guidance. Following are the basic points mentioned in this khutbah:

O People
Lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefor listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.

O People
Just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. Allah has forbidden you to take usury (interest); therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity.

Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all interest due to Abbas Ibn ‘Abd al Muttalib (the Prophet's uncle) shall henceforth be waived.

Beware of Satan for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People
It is true that you have certain rights in regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives, only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat you women well and be kind to them, for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with anyone of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

O People
Listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat.

Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black, nor a black has any superiority over a white- except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim, which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not therefor, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember one day you will appear before Allah and answer for your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone. People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well therefore, O people, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Quran and the Sunnah (Hadith), and if you follow these you will never go astray. All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listened to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed your message to your people."

خطبة حجة الوداع في يوم (10 من ذي الحجة)

ألقاها الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم في حجة الوداع يوم عرفة من جبل الرحمة وقد نزل فيه الوحي مبشراً أنه "اليوم أكملت لكم دينكم وأتممت عليكم نعمتي ورضيت لكم الإسلام ديناً"
الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره ونتوب إليه، ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا من يهده الله فلا مضل له ومن يضلل فلا هادي له، وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمداً عبده ورسوله.
أوصيكم عباد الله بتقوى الله وأحثكم على طاعته وأستفتح بالذي هو خير. أما بعد أيها الناس اسمعوا مني أبين لكم فإني لا أدري لعلى لا ألقاكم بعد عامي هذا في موقفي هذا.
أيها الناس إن دماءكم وأعراضكم حرام عليكم إلى أن تلقوا ربكم كحرمة يومكم هذا في شهركم هذا في بلدكم هذا – ألا هل بلغت اللهم فاشهد، فمن كانت عنده أمانة فليؤدها إلى من ائتمنه عليها.
وإن ربا الجاهلية موضوع ولكن لكم رؤوس أموالكم لا تظلمون ولا تظلمون وقضى الله أنه لا ربا. وإن أول ربا أبدأ به عمي العباس بن عبد المطلب.
وإن دماء الجاهلية موضوعة، وإن أول دم نبدأ به دم عامر بن ربيعة بن الحارث بن عبد المطلب وإن مآثر الجاهلية موضوعة غير السدانة والسقاية والعمد قود وشبه العمد ما قتل بالعصا والحجر وفيه مائة بعير، فمن زاد فهو من أهل الجاهلية – ألا هل بلغت اللهم فاشهد.
أما بعد أيها الناس إن الشيطان قد يئس أن يعبد في أرضكم هذه، ولكنه قد رضي أن يطاع فيما سوى ذلك مما تحرقون من أعمالكم فاحذروه على دينكم، أيها الناس إنما النسئ زيادة في الكفر يضل به الذين كفروا يحلونه عاماً ويحرمونه عاماً ليوطئوا عدة ما حرم الله فيحلوا ما حرم الله ويحرموا ما أحل الله. وإن الزمان قد استدار كهيئته يوم خلق الله السماوات والأرض، وإن عدة الشهور عند الله اثنا عشر شهراً في كتاب الله يوم خلق الله السماوات والأرض، منها أربعة حرم ثلاثة متواليات وواحد فرد: ذو القعدة وذو الحجة والمحرم ورجب مضر الذي بين جمادى وشعبان – ألا هل بلغت اللهم فاشهد.
أما بعد أيها الناس إن لنسائكم عليكم حقاً ولكم عليهن حق. لكم أن لا يواطئن فرشهم غيركم، ولا يدخلن أحداً تكرهونه بيوتكم إلا بإذنكم ولا يأتين بفاحشة، فإن فعلن فإن الله قد أذن لكم أن تعضلوهن وتهجروهن في المضاجع وتضربوهن ضرباً غير مبرح، فإن انتهين وأطعنكم فعليكم رزقهن وكسوتهن بالمعروف، واستوصوا بالنساء خيراً، فإنهن عندكم عوان لا يملكن لأنفسهن شيئاً، وإنكم إنما أخذتموهن بأمانة الله واستحللتم فروجهن بكلمة الله فاتقوا الله في النساء واستوصوا بهن خيراً – ألا هل بلغت....اللهم فاشهد.
أيها الناس إنما المؤمنون إخوة ولا يحل لامرئ مال لأخيه إلا عن طيب نفس منه – ألا هل بلغت اللهم فاشهد.
فلا ترجعن بعدى كافراً يضرب بعضكم رقاب بعض، فإني قد تركت فيكم ما إن أخذتم به لن تضلوا بعده: كتاب الله وسنة نبيه، ألا هل بلغت ... اللهم فاشهد.
أيها الناس إن ربكم واحد وإن أباكم واحد كلكم لآدم وآدم من تراب أكرمكم عند الله اتقاكم، وليس لعربي على عجمي فضل إلا بالتقوى – ألا هل بلغت....اللهم فاشهد قالوا نعم – قال فليبلغ الشاهد الغائب.
أيها الناس إن الله قد قسم لكل وارث نصيبه من الميراث ولا يجوز لوارث وصية، ولا يجوز وصية في أكثر من ثلث، والولد للفراش وللعاهر الحجر. من ادعى إلى غير أبيه أو تولى غير مواليه فعليه لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمع ين لا يقبل منه صرف ولا عدل.

I would like to personally invite all of whom interested in the future of Islam in Ireland to the FOSIS Ireland National Council Meeting, in which representatives from all the Islamic Societies in Ireland meet to discuss what we have been doing for the past few months, assess our current situation, and plan our next steps in the near and distant future. It is very important in terms of communication with other Islamic Societies and the FOSIS committee. Obvious benefits of this communication are networking and learning from experiences of other Islamic Societies and sharing your own success and areas that still need work.

It is important that Muslim Students work together towards a greater vision of success. Please be a part of this vision. Your perspectives and experiences are important for us to know about. This is also your opportunity to take the FOSIS Ireland Committee to account and have a say in which direction we should be working towards.

The meeting will take place in Dublin. It will start at 11 am on November 15th (this Saturday).

Irish Muslim Convert Mohammed Salim Lennon (Thomas Lennon)

In his beautiful Irish countryside home we conducted the interview. He has changed his name to Mohammed Salim Lennon. He could have kept his name but he loved the name Mohammed Salim and kept his Surname Lennon.
I found him full of faith, charged with Iman, and his words hits the heart of the listeners. He reflected on many things in life, and he found Islam to be right for his philosophical ideas, and his religion touches him so greatly that even before he knew anything about Islam he was praying in his heart to God without any mediator, ie without praying to any saints or Jesus or Mary.

He said that the Bible's first commandment, "I am The Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:2-3 RSV), means that there is no deity worth worshipping but Allah, which means in Arabic "La Ilaha Illa Allah". Also it means not to worship Jesus or Mary or any other saints.

Every religion says "Do not Kill" but there are Jews killing people. Anyone who kills is acting outside of their faith, You can't do a bad act and say I am a Muslim or Jew or whatever religion you are and expect to be free from sin. Hitler, Stalin and other rulers who kill people and oppress them must be judged.
